A week before Thanksgiving, I was cleaning out my room and came across all my old Weight Watchers pamphlets. I decided, to try counting points for a week. After one week I had lost two pounds, so I decided to pick it back up after Thanksgiving. While, I'm not really trying to lose weight, I am trying to get in decent shape for my next half marathon and pay attention to the foods I'm eating. My plan is to use the winter months to build up my strength through weight training and core straightening activities (not too much running, gotta rest those knees). Then come February, when I start running again, I should find it a lot easier to run 13.1 miles. We'll see how this all plays out...
My next half marathon will be the Napa-to-Sonoma, my first big race for a cause. I will be fundraising for and training with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. I'm planning to use this blog to document my training and experiences with the Team Challenge group. For those of you unfamiliar with Team Challenge, check out there website and get pumped because you will hear a lot of about them in the upcoming months!
